What the Academy Is
The AE4™ Innovation Academy is a magnet-style, STEM+C-focused School-Within-a-School initiative embedded within existing schools.
The academy provides students with an innovative, competency-based educational experience that integrates STEM+C, authentic research, entrepreneurship, and workforce development, preparing them for success in higher education, emerging industries, and the rapidly evolving workforce of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
STEM+C
Science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing are taught together through authentic challenges, so students learn concepts by using them to design, build, and test real solutions.
Authentic Research
Students investigate real problems, collect and analyze evidence, and communicate their findings as emerging researchers—working alongside university faculty, clinicians, engineers, and industry mentors.
Entrepreneurship
Ideas move from design brief to working prototype to validated solution, building the habits of value creation, iteration, and clear communication that innovators rely on.
